A Multipart Barbra Streisand Documentary Is In The Works

Following her bestselling, deeply personal 2023 memoir, My Name Is Barbra, Barbra Streisand will reveal even more about her professional and private life in a forthcoming multipart documentary. The currently unnamed project will be directed by Frank Marshall and produced by Oscar-winner Alex Gibney, with production already underway on the biopic of the EGOT winner. Streisand opened up her archives for the documentary, providing rare access to never-before-seen videos, photos, audio recordings, and personal items from her legendary career. “For years I’ve been thinking about the best way to share the vast amount of content I’ve been safely storing in my vault,” Streisand says. “These films, photos and music masters — many never seen or heard by the public — hold some of my most cherished memories. I’m so pleased that producer Alex Gibney and director Frank Marshall have agreed to take this journey with me.” A release date for the documentary has not been announced. (Billboard)
