Coldplay Brought Out Michael J. Fox To Play “Fix You” At Glastonbury

Michael J. Fox came out to play guitar on Coldplay’s emotional hit, “Fix You” at the Glastonbury Festival in the U.K. over the weekend. Singer Chris Martin freestyled his introduction of Fox, saying: “Here’s another legendary Michael, one who just totally rocks. With his Chuck Berry riff and the way he punched Biff, ladies and gentleman, please welcome Michael J. Fox.” Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease back in 1991, came out in a wheelchair, and joined the band on guitar for their last two songs, “Humankind” and “Fix You.”

Following the set, Martin thanked the crowd and paid tribute to Fox, saying, “Especially, thank you. The main reason why we’re in a band is because of watching Back to the Future. So thank you to our hero forever, and one of the most amazing people around, Mr. Michael J. Fox.” (Entertainment Weekly)
