After their successful collaboration on the recent duet, “Treehouse,” Brandy Clark and Ben Platt have revealed their plans to tour together this summer. The Grammy and Tony Award-nominated Clark co-wrote “Treehouse” with the Tony Award-winning Platt, and the song is featured on his brand new record, Honeymind. “Everyone at the label, as soon as they saw the kind of record that I was hoping to make and the kind of song I was hoping to write, the first name out of everybody’s mouth was, ‘You’ve got to write with Brandy Clark,’”says Platt. “That session was the first time that we had properly worked together, and hopefully not the last.” Platt and Clark’s tour together kicks off in Boston on June 18, with Ben saying of the shows, “I feel a great responsibility to put forward a really great musical live show, especially because she’s coming with me. It feels like a real fire under my butt to do my best work.” (Variety)
