Michael Jackson's Doctor Charged With Manslaughter
Michael Jackson's personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter by the Los Angeles District Attorney. On Monday, the district attorney's office filed a criminal complaint alleging that Dr. Murray "did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson" in the pop star's Los Angeles home in June. The L.A. County Coroner said Michael's death was a homicide caused by an overdose of the anesthetic propofol and anti-anxiety drugs.
Dr. Murray is expected to turn himself in at a courthouse near Los Angeles International Airport at 1:30 p.m./PT today. Once he voluntarily turns himself in, he is expected to enter a not guilty plea and post bail. He has denied any wrongdoing in the death of Michael Jackson.
